About Heathrow

The Summit is only one of a range of initiatives Heathrow has already established to ensure its supply chain rebuilds sustainably. The airport’s updated sustainability strategy sets out how Heathrow will remove barriers for SMEs to enter the supply chain, as well as its commitment to continuously grow the proportion of SMEs in the airport’s supply chain.

Heathrow is the UK’s most valuable port and the fourth busiest airport in the world, serving more than 80 million passengers a year and more than £200 billion of trade – supporting businesses of all sizes across the whole country.

To achieve this, we rely on a huge range of partners and we are proud to have more than 750 SMEs in our direct supply chain, accounting for over 50% of our supplier base. The annual Heathrow Business Summit offers opportunities for SMEs to become part of Heathrow’s thriving supply chain.
